Personal Approach: Since 1997 Chesapeake Alpacas has been committed to breeding quality alpacas and dedicated to supporting our customers. As a boutique farm, emphasizing quality over quantity, our herd consists of less than 50 alpacas. We are small by design. Our herd represents a limited number of select animals that, in our view, possess desirable traits that add real value to a breeding program. Personalized attention to our customers is also important to us. We maintain a sincere interest in every animal that leaves our farm and enjoy keeping in touch with our customers to find out the latest "news." By keeping our operation small, we can maintain our personal approach.

Comfort Level: It is extremely important to feel comfortable with the breeder. During and after the sale you need to feel they can be approached for anything at any time. We place a great deal of importance on creating an environment that is comfortable and friendly and pride ourselves on being easy to work with. At Chesapeake Alpacas we are dedicated to long-term relationships with our customers to make certain they have the knowledge, support and direction they need to succeed.

Our hands-on approach to every aspect of our business has seasoned us in a way that cannot be gained simply by reading a book or attending a seminar.
